I didn't realize that I hadn't written anything on this journal in almost a year. Things seemed to have changed a bit in my personal and artistic life.

Personal
Made some friends but lost a few as well, found out who really are important and those that care about what happens in my life. Kind of feels like leaving high school again and realizing the cliches fade away and true friends remain. Not that it's a bad thing, we all need the social connections it's just knowing who are  permanent or not is good.  Very awesome and at times annoying but that's how life seems to be, we wade through the endless crap to find those  experiences that make it worth it. Some of the good experiences though were that I got to travel a lot, I hit most of the east coast states and got to see a bit of snow.  I sure do miss traveling and oddly enough I miss California too. I might start planning more trips to end the year with a new place under my belt. Yay~

Artistic
I have been trying out different ways of expressing what's in my head to paper, it's been an experience to say the least. Fits of frustration have been  frequent and I've stopped drawing on many occasions but I don't think I will ever quit drawing. Even after long periods of putting scribbles down and  tossing loads of paper into the trash I think those few pieces I get done, I really like them. Found that I really love DC characters and have been drawing loads of them. I even found some artists that I just love, one of them is Skottie Young.... My god he is so talented and I just love seeing his work. I think he is someone I want to look up to as an inspiration. I know it's shocking I usually don't try follow anyone but man he is so awesome.  But yea anyway...
   

I found those who are worth keeping close to me and those who are only there for that random fun, both good for what they are. I tried a few new things, changed some stuff and looking at it not sure if for the better or worse. But one thing that is clear is that I can look back at it and see it as an experience and try to keep some how they are or improve.
